MNK Re, the leading independent broker of worldwide specialist risks into Lloyd’s, has added to its energy team with the appointment of Mark Ritson as Director – Energy.

Ritson brings more than 30 years of experience of energy insurance broking, having worked on downstream and upstream energy, power generation and renewable projects around the world. He joins MNK Re’s existing energy team, and will lead on developing and placing more business, as it looks to grow its book.

Ritson is well known in the international market, with a particular specialism in Latin America. He was previously at Amwins, where he had a successful track record of supporting clients through a difficult period for the market, with prices rising.
